Il mwbaprotanistrofeo (mwbqmwbgProtanystropheus antiquus) è un mwbwrettile estinto, appartenente agli mwcaarcosauromorfi. Visse nel mwcqTriassico medio/superiore (circa 240 - 225 milioni di anni fa). I suoi resti fossili sono stati ritrovati in mwcgEuropa centrale e occidentale.

I resti di questo animale sono stati descritti per la prima volta nel mwdq1905 da mwdgFriedrich von Huene, che li attribuì al genere mwdwmweaTanystropheus. Von Huene creò per questi resti, ritrovati in mweqGermania in strati del Triassico medio, la nuova specie mwegT. antiquus. Altri resti vennero in seguito attribuiti a questa specie, che rimase tuttaviameno conosciuta rispetto ad altre specie di mwewTanystropheus. Nel mwfa2006 alcuni resti di mwfqT. antiquus vennero ridescritti come un nuovo genere, mwfgmwfwAmotosaurus. Successivamente, nel mwga2011, Sennikov ritenne che i resti dell'mwgqolotipo erano sufficientemente distinti da quelli attribuiti alle altre specie di mwggTanystropheus da istituire un nuovo genere, mwgwmwhaProtanystropheus. Come il suo parente più famoso, anche mwhqProtanystropheus possedeva un collo insolitamente lungo e formato da poche vertebre estremamente allungate.
